Handling of contact data
If you contact the website operator using the contact options provided (e.g. via a contact form, where applicable), your details will be stored for a period of six months for the purpose of processing and responding to your enquiry and for possible follow-up questions.

If no employment contract is concluded, the application documents will be automatically deleted six months after notification of the rejection decision, unless:
- a longer retention period has been agreed for future procedures, or
- statutory retention obligations or other legitimate interests (e.g. legal defence) prevent deletion.
Logging
For each access to the website, the following data are logged:
- IP address
- accessed page (referrer)
- name of the retrieved file
- date and time of access
- amount of data transferred
- access status
- type of web browser used
- browser and operating system information (if transmitted)
- referring website (if transmitted)
Processing of log data
- Log files are automatically evaluated on an ongoing basis in order to detect and prevent attacks on the web servers. In individual cases (e.g. reported malfunctions, errors or security incidents), manual analyses may be carried out.
- Additional personal data are collected only if the data subject voluntarily provides such information when making direct contact. Postal and email addresses provided in this context are used exclusively for correspondence purposes.
Log data are processed solely for internal system-related and statistical purposes. They are evaluated to improve the University’s information services and are deleted after 14 days.
Exception: between 21 December and 21 January, log data are retained for a period of one month.
No disclosure of log data to third parties takes place.
